vacuum line 1991 318
« on: May 24, 2020, 10:48:19 pm »
Changing leaky valve cover gaskets this weekend. Moved everything around being careful to note how everything came apart. Though on the drivers side, there was a smog tube that made tings a pin in the butt getting cover off and on.

While cleaning up the a little and wad waiting for paint to dry on VC, i find a vacuum hose not connected.

Looking at the Haynes manual, it doesn't looks like it goes to anything. See where my pen is pointing on the chart.

On the sticker under the hood looks like it ends around Air Pump or diverter valve but I can't find an open port. Help?

siting here looking at it , that extra vacuum line is for "down stream AIR" and your truck might not have that so the line should be plugged

Are you able to show the pic a little larger? Where vacuum line exits TBI?

Bases on the zoomed in image, Looks like the line may go into the back of the diverter valve. There doesnt seem to be a port there.
