Need help in central Oklahoma
« on: May 27, 2020, 05:00:46 pm »
I'm doing a frame off restoration on my 1993 D-150. The truck had an engine bay fire that destroyed all the wiring. I have been calling all the wiring companies and as soon as I tell them it's a Dodge l get the "well we don't really make anything for a Dodge" but we have a universal kit. I'm wondering if anyone knows someone in central Oklahoma I can take the truck to and have them install one of the universal kits.
Thanks,
Rob

agreed , buy a factory one , even used , then with the factory service manual go over it then install it . The 318 and the 360 harness will be very similar , , plug and play , small things like 1 may of use 2 o2 sensors yours may be 1 o2 sensor . Place an ad of look at classifieds section on this site , I bought just the motor section from a fella , he had the lighting section ...

If you insist on an new  engine wiring harness you might try Evans Wiring (evanswiring.com) out of PA.  He primarily does 60's era mopar cars, but is sometimes willing to try new stuff.

Thanks Gus. Dodge boys I decided to order a kit from kwik wire. I will take lots of photos to post as I give wiring a truck a try. I'm going to use a Holley sniper efi, a Davis unified ignition 1 wire HEI and convert my alternator to an external regulator. I decided to replace the a518 with a 727.
    Thanks,
    Rob

my Question is what you gonna to without a FSM to wire into the rest of the truck , nothing inside will work without the engine harness or a complete wiring diagrams to integrate it

I'm replacing all the gauges with a dash kit from classic dash, the only factory items I'm going to reuse are the turn signals key switch and the heat/ac. I'm using a Holley sniper efi and a GM style 1 wire hei from Davis unified ignition. The 518 is being swapped to a 727 the alternator is being modified to use an external regulator
