You mentioned a part-time transfer case kit in another thread for about 65 bux.  How exactly is this installed?  I'm curious because I already have the locking hubs on the Dragon, and four-wheel parts don't seem to want too much to install this kit.  So, I'm thinking it isn't too difficult compared to the other stuff I've done to my truck  ;D

I had one installed in my 203 before I did my doubler.  I is a pretty simple install.  Have to disassemble the t-case and then place the pieces in the "differential" in the t-case.

You will have 2wd hi, 4wd hi, 2wd lo, and 4wd lo.

Worked great, but after a couple years it did put extra strain on my chain and cause it to stretch.

you need to take the rear of the transfer case apart.  you can do this conversion with the case in the truck.  There will be bolt pattern around the rear of the case where the output shaft comes out.... you will need to take that off and swap in about 4 pieces.  Very simple with basic hand tools.

What lift kit options do you have for a 2000 Ford Excursion diesel?  How much would shipping be to 78418 (approx guess since I figure most kits weigh about the same).

203 partime kit not a problem but if you have a stock ramcharger with a full time d44front axle its not possible to swap in locking hubs due to the bearing design.

Now, I am curious. I just bought a 79 RC with locking hubs on the front axle. I am also here today because I blew the pinion bearings out of my rear and I am looking for an affordable 9.25 rear or possibly D60 upgrade.

I have seen people talking about a 4spd kit for big blocks. Where do I get the parts, and how much? Is it something I can do? Can I buy one complete?

They do not make "kits" for big block 4 speed.

The NP435/NP445 (4spd) has been out of production for a LONG time, so the only choice is used/rebuilt chrysler transmissions. It's not hard to find a used 4spd. Doesn't have to come from a big block or small block, but has to be for a 4x4 AND has to be from part-time if you have part-time or full-time if you have full-time.

From there you can order the lakewood bellhousing and clutch/flywheel new. No linkages new, you have to make or find them. You could also track down a rare 4x4 440 bellhousing but they cost basically same as new ones most of the time.

Of course that is assuming you own a 4x4 or want a 4x4. If it's 2wd then you find a 2wd unit. They are not overdrive, keep that in mind.

Only used from a junkyard or classifieds. This is not like a jeep or mustang where you can buy a drivetrain conversion package. That option just doesn't, and won't exist. Majority of dodge owners are too cheap. True story.

This is basically the only piece you can get readily new, other than the clutch flywheel:

Sometimes ebay has overhauled transmissions but they are not complete "turnkey" conversions.

    4.10 for 33s
    4.56 for 35s

if you runs 4.56s with the 33s....watch your rpms, or extended trips at 60 + mph

I have some package deals on gears and install kits available....

How much can you reveal about this w/o breaching any vendor agreements? A lot of people in need of diff sets, but hard to remember we have a vendor who carries them at a competitive price

I can consistently give RCC members VERY discounted prices on drivetrain and axle parts as to what they normally retail for locally and online.  Due to vendor agreements I cannot publish prices below MSRP on parts.   PM me guys!   WE ARE A YUKON AUTHORIZED RETAILER!
