Just hoping I can add some knowledge here to save people time in the future.

When Installing a Melling HV Oil Pump on a Factory Big Block Truck, know before hand that the drivers side engine mount bracket must be removed prior to removing the oil pump. (You'll be unbolting the passenger side engine mount from the bracket so you'll have enough room to life the engine to remove & re-install a new pump)

Order a Bolt Kit (ARP/440 Source, whatever) before hand so you don't have to run to the hardware store to get longer bolts, then trim them down so they don't bottom out in the block.

Plan on modifying the the Drivers Side Engine Mount bracket to clear the relief spring on a Melling HV Oil Pump.  The Pump body & rotor is deeper, so the slot must be elongated too.

I attached some pics for the people who need to visualize it can do so.

Just wanted to add a picture of the backside with everything bolted back down showing the opening up of the engine mount bracket for the HV Oil Pump.

    • My lugnuts take more torque than Honda's put out.
I didn't have to do that much mods to mine.
I had to make the hole a hair bigger diameter.
Maybe because I'm running the diesel biscuit interlocking mounts. And before that the Schmaucher bolt through mounts. Both of those units are a bit thicker.
