Thanks! Yeah, Glen made it awhile ago for the yellow truck. That tub was so rotten I'm surprised it fit the red one at all...

The RC is looking AWESOME!!!!
Did Glen make the cage?

Thanks! I'll show it if the opportunity arises. Most likely I'll drive it around and enjoy it. I've got some land in central Missouri that's perfect for offroad fun, so it'll get dirty from time to time...

I've been traveling so much I've moved my home base to Maine. I've been in the midwest a bunch the last year though.

Our farm is right outside of Marshall in Saline county, about 20 minutes north of I-70. I'd love to stop by STL some time and see your truck!

Small world indeed. My grandparents old farm was outside Sedalia. But, it was sold off 20 or so years back after they passed away. But, spent many summers there into my teens.

Hi Jim, not much news to share. A little more progress has been made on the paint and we finally got the steering hooked up so it's a lot easier to move now. The TD is in storage until I have time and money again. My goal is to have it back together and drivable by June/July 2014.

    MichaelH,

I see it's been a while but I just came across this reading about Jims drop hangers.
Read through it and just wanted to say you did a great job on this thing.  The color is beautiful! I have a black truck and love it but if I ever painted it I've been thinking something like a root beer color would be nice.

Just curious what you ended up doing with the grille, did you go with a stock look?
Is the truck all done now?

Just revisiting the site since 2014...

Truck isn't done, but I've been making progress lately. The grill is the stock round headlight style. I need to tap out a couple dents before I throw it on or find another in perfect shape.

Soon! We need to haul it into the shop to start wiring it up. I've got a list of parts I'm looking for and will post it here soon.

The truck is in Dover, NH and I'm in mid coast Maine and the Boston area.

I've got a few things I need to source to get this truck running and stopping.

    Radiator and tranny cooler

Crank pulley (current one is rusted inside)

    Filler neck and gas cap

Engine is a 440, so the more cooling the better. Are folks using clutch fans or electric?
