{cool}  Looks like my 79 I turned into an off road rig. No lift on mine stock springs and stock 5 lug 3:55 axles with 37.5's on it.

As soon as the 5lugs break I have a pair of 60"s to go in with 4:10 gears.

I'd rather push a DODGE than drive a chevy or a ford!!!!!!

Hot tanked the whole engine. Pretty much a stock rebuild other than its bored .030 over stage 2 Rv cam double roller timing chain. Runs really smooth. Tires are still breaking loose on 4.10 gears. So I'm happy with it. Wasnt really after more power, just wanted piece of mind and reliability. Had a tick coming from top end and wanted to address the problem. Tore engine apart and had a blown head gasket. So decided to do a full rebuild.

Sorry for taking so long. Been busy with all this mayhem going on. I'm still on 4.10s. Wats helping is that I'm able to run in 2 low on my t case. But I'd like to run in high but feels like the trucks is draggin too much. Everyone is saying 5.13s so might have to get big gears.

Yes. It's called classic Navy made by rustoleum. I believe it is a satin finish. Yes. I'm really happy with the outcome. Thanks. Put alotta hours and research into her. I'm actually getting it regeared right now. Waiting on the ol lady to get back with an oversize socket set to remove pinion nut.

Yes sir. I use to live off Dillon rd and they closed all that off about 12 years ago. It's sad what it has come to. Public land should be open to the public. And it's only getting worse. The land that is open for use is always being threatened with closure. Good old California for yah. That sounds like fun. Lots of miles through the desert.

Ah, the good old Indio Hills! That place was so cool for a small area. I raced motorcycles out there in '71-'72. We used to play hide and seek at night with our vehicles. What fun. We used to go out there from '69 until... well they shut them down initially when Prop 13 passed. And they closed the dump on weekends. Idiots would go out there and dump trash. It ruined a really unique area to off road in. Then they built a golf course using  a small area of them. Now it's closed forever.
Yep. Lots of wilderness areas abound with high tension lines running through them. Go figure.
I'm PM ing you. Watch for it.
