Joe,
I'm also wondering what size tires & wheels are on it.

Thanks,
Jim

not sure how much lift it has
the tires have 40k miles on them since the build and are about 1/2 tread
the tire size is 315/70 17s and measure about 35" when new
I do however have the 4 that was on the truck and a new spare on a matching 17" rim
it seems to have R/C rear lift springs in the back and almost flat r/c front springs [no blocks
for some reason it has a rear shackle kit on back of rear springs but stock hangers on front of rear spring
anyway I want to be able to run 40s so thinking just put the factory blocks back on rear and the jungle front drop hangers, And if that's not enough front lift I can get a 2 or 4" lift spring to ad on front if drop hangers are not enough
I know you all will not lot the blocks idea but I have never had a problem with rear stock blocks

I would guess I only need 4"s more lift for 40s what do you think jungle and whats your best guess on front drop hangers

my country is going to pot but I got my 70s music a hell of a lot of ammo and a good imagination

    Nice find!!!!
& yes I know that truck.  I wonder if a pr of my bumper wings would bolt to the side of your winch mount?

    Joe,
When you figure out how much more lift you need I'll order the materials for the drop hangers. The 4", 4 3/4" & 5" hangers are special order.
    Jim
I have a loose set maybe I will see if they fit
a tape measure would tell me....I will let you know asap

Also considering switching from the tbi to a carberator the ecm is kicking my butt and I'm to old school and don't have time to figure it out, it ran fine for a few weeks and I decided to put in a new distributor and some how fried the ecm
I know I would have to change a lot of stuff but I still like it simple :)

    Joe,
Check but I think that truck has my HD frame bushing installed already.

Hows the tread on the tires? I need a set for the gold RC that will  get me till spring when I get a new set.

I'm interested in the tires & wheels.

Do you know how much of a drop hanger kit your going to need?

Would you pick up the parts like before?

    Joe,
I have your 5" drop hangers done. You have the HD frame bushing (Shackle end) correct?
What are you doing with the rear axle?

since I'm having a hard time finding an ECM for the pickup I bought and the pop top is such a slow project I'm thinking of putting the big block in the pickup and just getting a small block for the ramcharger
also got me a very nice MCI bus conversion hense the reason my pop top is on hold
    will post some pics soon

slow builds give you an advantage.....
I am now lifting the black and silver truck aprox. 10"
so my pop top is on the back burner which got me thinking
whats better than a big block 1 ton poptop?
how about a new rebuilt turned up 12 valve cummins
also now my pickup can have the big block double
get you guys some updated pics soon been busy rolling coal with my 24 valve

ok here is a few pics of the gator truck [junk tires just to roll it on]
Its getting a complete re wiring job at present
soon paint and new rims and tires then it should look like a beast
going with grey and a rebel flag airbrushed over entire front end and partially onto fenders

the 88 dodge 1 ton which jumped in line ahead of the pop top isn't far from being back up and running so I can get some wheeling pics this summer
it has aprox 10" of lift and has 40s on it
thanks to the the Jungle shackle flip with 4" lift springs and has the 56" gm springs in rear
    205 transfer case
    1 ton running gear
and the 13,500 lb winch will be back on it soon
hope all is well with everyone on here just been crazy busy lately

    Looking good there Joe!!!

Do you or Gator have or can get the top section of a 92 or 93 RC or 90's CTD truck. I need the part where the screw on cap that holds the sending unit on. I want to use it as a pattern & see if I can make a SS unit for my new tank.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    PS;
Maybe cut a NG tank say 3" around the threaded part that sticks out of the tank.

about to drop the new big block in the 88 1 ton truck
lift is about done, put the jungle shackle flip and the GM 56 '' rear springs on 5" front drop hanger
waiting on shocks and a brake line and a front end alignment
getting the big block trans rebuilt and do the motor swap
already has 1 ton running gear, 205 transfer case, tom woods drive shafts, still lacking front air locker which I have most of the parts to do
just put the fender flares on had to modify them as they don't sell pocket fender flares for these trucks as far as I know so I bought these off craigslist for 100 bucks off a 2000 [I think] Toyota
    what do you think?
the engine on the dyno is the one going in the pickup
the other is identical but has aluminum heads and is now in the gator truck
both are custom built by Bill Richardson at rams racing engines
JE pistons, eagle h beam rods 10 1/2 to 1 comp. rv cam ext
then I plan on getting pieces togather for the cummins swap for the white pop top which is kinda on the back burner

ok so I decided to lower my motor like almost 2" to offset the 10"s of suspension lift
Any body else ever tried this
thinking because the truck is going to be more of a trail/off road truck than a flat mud truck it wouldn't tip over as easy [although I know its a bit big and long for jeep trails]
I also am lowering the trans to match
It helped a little with the front driveshaft angle also
Trans is out to be fresh end up and then I can start getting it back to gather
wondering if an alum. radiator would be better and maybe electric fans or just go with a copper one and a clutch fan

The gator truck is getting the lockers put in and being re wired and soon will be back for paint
hope to get some new pics and info on the other builds soon but working 90 hours a week we havn't got much done

I also put fender flares on my 05 coal truck looks much better and keeps mud under the truck some what

yea at first I thought they looked a bit funny but after I looked at it for a few hours I liked it more cause there may not be another one that looks the same since the pocket flares came off a 2002 or so Toyota
