I have not commited yet. I'll likely be going down some time in October like I usually do, not sure I'll be making a two trips. However, if this trip brings out the GunPilot, my chances of attending go up. Hey GP, ever ride a mountain bike?  ;D

Don't try corrupting GP to the Dark Side.

We'll be at the Moab Rim campgrounds this year.

I will be there and my brother Bryan from California is coming along.  He bought Levi back in 1995 from the original owner.  He and I did the first motor swap and paint job back in 2001 - so this will be an awesoe trip for us!

Am I the only Texan that hasn't seceded from the union? Surely there's somebody else from here going.

unfortunately, unless my fortunes change drastically I will not be able to show. sad day when today I had discovered that our finances were worse than they should be.  :'(

#11 ·
Sorry to hear that Mike.

#12 ·
I will be making more local runs, soon too.

and I was looking forward to slobbering all over your fab work. but, money is the issue, and here in so cal where the pricing of everything except what the laborer receives is inflated, money is the enemy.

well it'll be a bummer not to meet you Mike, but then again there are a few months between now and then, so hopefully things will turn for the better :)  If not, next time then  :)

well...Homer, his brother, Neil, Ben, Trevor and I are all staying in the Moab KOA in the cottages along the south side. I think we're in KT-46, 47, and 48. I really like the KOA, and I'd offer that as a possibility :)

Kia, canyon lands and slick rock are all rv, cabin or tent setups. Koa isn't bad, stayed there in the past. We are at canyon lands this time. Glad you're making bud.

...you guys have a California Convoy forming up?  Always good'er to travel in numbers {cool}

#24 ·
Looks like I may need to put a trailer hitch on the RC. Pinkerton bought a Ford diesel. ;D Motor's out of his K5 and it's now for sale. May be a guy from Midland with an RC go, don't know yet. Guess I'm not the only 4x4 RC owner within 200 miles after all.

Tentatively we do. I know Sarah and I are leaving Saturday the 6th early and plan to camp the north rim of the Grand Canyon or in Zion that night. Not sure what everyone else is doing yet. Some guys out of Vegas too but they may be doing it in one day.

still tenative....if it is a go ...will be from Fountain Valley CA
I've probably eaten 100,000 plus polish dogs at the Fountain Valley Costco over the years. I've worked within walking distance since 1989... I live in Mission Viejo. We can exchange contact info, and work out a convoy if you are able to go.
