    At the Hot Tubs ( https://www.google.com/maps/@38.5923792,-109.5435926,128m/data=!3m1!1e3 )

    Since the Ramchargers made it through in 4WD pretty uneventfully.... the last three tried in 2WD to make it more challenging.

    Then Josh drove into the other hot tub!

    Mines a stock W250, only real damage was from a blowout on the interstate on the way home. Good drivers don't need built up trucks.  ;)

    From past experience I knew you'd be able to back out. Lack of wheel speed is all the kept you from climbing out. About the only issue for that 318.

    It's tough, especially with that much water in it.  When it is dry, the bottom is cluttered with a lot of u-joint parts, gear lube and ATF. {cool}
    BTW, that hot tub is called the "Car Wash".

    The plan is to have a truck to pull us out and have the trail rig safe to run out there with the D60's under it..  ;D

    Might not happen but that's the plan. Heck I'd go out and run the d44/9 1/4.  :P

    honestly I think a lot of it comes down to driving style and weight.
    I wheel with a guy who we call "skinny pedal" who has an XJ with a dana 30 in the front with a lockright, 4.10's and 35's and he gives it hell.  I haven't seen him break anything in the front yet - although it won't surprise me if/when something let's go.  of course XJ's are on the lighter side, but I wouldn't feel uncomfortable about running 37's on a 9.25.  on a d44f in a full size..... IDK you just have to watch the hopping.  with the exception of Homer breaking a 1350 on the Gemini Bridges trail head, I think everybody's breakage was due to excessive wheel hop/spring wrap which just shows you have to anticipate it and back off when it happens.  it also shows the importance of traction aids with leafs - like torque arms.  I've been a believer in them since I put one on "Judge" and the one on my YJ has been tested and proven over and over again.  I wish I had one on the front too.  I think Josh did well to put both on his rig.  But a rear one is mandatory IMO if you have and wheel a heavier rig with leaves.  I experience zero rear hop due to chasis/suspension.  On my "2wd" tub exit you can see some tire bounce but no hop/wrap.
    watching Brian's video where he spits out the lift blocks demonstrates the importance of having shock absorbers too

    Traction is the game changer in Moab. You have to be judicious with the throttle there because when you grab traction, it really grabs. The sandstone is amazing. When you get that kind of traction spring wrap is an even bigger issue. I don't have too big an issue because of the ad-a-leafs. But I did snap my tranny mount bracket that had survived 6 years since my. 4500 swap. I was able to reweld it and will be adding gussets. That was on the one ledge I had problems with the whole trip. I have made a habit of being as easy as I can on the throttle, I was hammering it on that ledge. I was fortunate that's all that happen.

    It just goes to show how driving styles are influenced by the terrain you are used to. Those of us accustomed to having great traction would probably struggle to put the pedal down in the slipperier stuff. At least I would be because of the consequences I associate with too much wheel speed.
