Once i get the hard to find stuff gathered up (any Demon Parts needed) then i'll focus on the Hemi Parts. The Hemi stuff aint going nowhere, but the Demon stuff gets harder to find every day  :'(

You can bet i'll be registering this car as a Collectible to reap the benefits of Cheap Full Coverage Insurance and the fact that i'll never ever have to register it again  ;D  I wonder if PennDot would let me customize a Collectible Plate like they do the Regular Plates. One that says 426-HEMI would be sweet  ;D

That and i don't think you can customize Classic/Antique/Collectible plates. They just have a series of numbers instead of Letters & Numbers.

Oh well, i guess i'll just have to put the Call-Outs on the car. A pair of "426 Hemi" Emblems on the Fenders right below the Demon Emblems, Maybe a 426 Hemi Emblem on the Tail Panel (where the "Duster Emblem would be on a Duster).

Also checking out Coilover suspensions for the car, QA1 seems to be the popular coilover shock company for this kind of thing. The Coils have to be bought seperately, theres tons of different spring rates available.

It'll allow me to get rid of the Torsion Bars for some extra room under the car for exhaust. And i wouldn't have to worry about it snapping the bars when i slam the skinny pedal.

About $170 per shock (including the spring price) on Summit Racing, and then they require Tubular Upper Control Arms for clearance, another $300 for a set. All in all about $650 worth of Suspension goodies to get rid of the Torsion Bars  :o

I was also researching Rack & Pinion conversions, but those are a huge nightmare for A-Bodies, unless you drop $4,000 on an Alterktion K-Frame  :o  I am not paying that kind of money for a K-Frame just to keep my Power Steering. Although my dad says it's possible to run the stock Power Steering Box in a 440 or 426 A-Body, so i'm hoping it's true.

According to him, it's a tight fit, the engine will sit tight against everything in the engine compartment (requiring solid mounts or an engine plate), but it allows you to retain the power steering. I had already planned on an Engine Plate to mount the 426, so it's no big deal. I also plan on hogging out the Core Support and moving it almost tight against the Grille to allow extra space for a large Aftermarket Radiator, Condensor, and a good Solid Fan & Shroud.

    LOOK HERE!

    http://www.engine-swaps.com/

     ;)

I see i'm gonna have to notch the K-Frame to fit the 426 in  :P

Currently working at cleaning the garage, there's an extra "parking space" where the old office was/is (replaced by the office you saw when you were here). It's currently filled with junk and brand new parts. If i clean it out, knock out the wall and move some stuff, i could fit the Demon in the back of the garage out of the way.

In the spirit of building my Dream Demon, i'm going to Build a Rear Window Louver and Side Louvers for the car too :o  Sporty!

They're extremely rare, and my dad believes he has 2 or 3 of them in storage somewhere. If i can't find one of the Rear ones in his stock pile, i'll build my own

Side Louvers for the 1/4 Windows don't exist, so i'm gonna make my own  ;D

This car is going to look sweet when it's finished.

    Nah, that's fine.

    Update :

Everything is expensive and I'm flat broke  ;D  Oh, you meant the car  ;D  Yeah, Here's the pics leading up to when the project stalled. I had to put the project on hold, due to a lack of funds. And a simple 6-71 Blown 1st Gen 392 Hemi will be powering the car until I have the money to build the 540 Hemi for it.

I had a lot more pics, but they must have gotten lost when my old laptop died.  Ended up replacing the rear frame, doing a Mini-Tub, 3" Spring Relocation, Flat Trunk Floor, etc. And then moved on to the front where I had to reconstruct the entire frame.

I've since acquired a complete Front Frame, Fenderwells, Core Support & Full Floorpan. So I'm just going to separate the car at the floor and firewall, and replace the whole front half of the car with the donor parts and then reinforce the front rails where they meet the firewall (a known area to twist on the A-Bodies)

I'm also considering picking up a Competition Engineering Rear Frame for the car.

Why am I flat broke?  This :

6-71 Blown R3 340 engine for my '74 Plymouth Duster.

Were you able to complete your demon project car?  Were you able to dig up any rear window louvers for the demon?

    Thanks,
