What's better than one .45? Two. Silver one is a AMT Hardballer and the commander version is a Metroarms. Recently I put a new recoil spring in the AMT and the Metro I put a Wilson ejector in.(damn thing would fling the casings right back at ya) The Metro I bought from a buddy. I had never heard of them before, read some reviews and decided to take a chance. I'm actually pleasantly surprised with it's performance. Always fires, no feed problems, pretty accurate (not as good as the AMT but good enough)

Old mosin huh HD? Just got one of those myself few weeks ago. Still haven't had a chance to shoot it yet so not sure how well it will do but rifling looks good. Ammo is cheap and plentiful. Can't go wrong really. Wish I hadn't got rid of my AK few years ago but, oh well. Used it as partial trade for a new AR.

It has a heck of a kick to it. The synthetic stock helped with that a lot.

I've heard that 7.62x54r is a animal. (no, still haven't tried mine. Damn weather) Is the recoil comparable to a '06? I have a super light 30-06 and that thing is rather abusive. (it's a Remington 721, steel butt plate, no accessories. as light as they get basically.) Maybe 10 rds in a day and I'm done with it for a while. 1st shot relocates your shoulder the 2nd finishes it off.  ;D

7.62x54 and 30.06 are close in mv and recoil using same bullet weights. 30.06 carries a bit more mv using factory loads. military ammo for both are about the same. butt plate, stock material and such make a big difference in the way a rifle recoils. enjoy the ruski. ==sheriff==

got to put about 110 rounds through my mosin not too long ago, was sore the next day,

I am starting to suffer some neuropathy so I am not as stable as I used to be, and we don't have a "long gun" range, so, out in the desert, at nearly 150yrds I can nail torsos with no problem iron sights, even hit the intended target several times (small can bout the diameter of an average neck) with most shots being within inches of it,
thing kicks like a mule, but I would rather be on my end of it than the other side

My Son grabbed this at a yard sale on Sat, Along with a few knives and a bushnell scope came to eighty some bucks, I gave the lady $100, and told her to keep the change. Figured the pistol was worth it. I thought it was just a replica colt, not actually made by Colt.

Ok, back in September buddy of mine gave me a bunch of pistol brass. After sorting it turns out 99% of it was .40 cal. Well I figured my wife can't shoot all of it so decided maybe it was time for me to get one. Talked to a friend of mine and told him what I DIDN'T want. (features wise) He sent me a flier to this place and I did some research and ended up ordering a Walther PPX M1 .40. Came with 2 14 rd mags. Cost, with shipping, $294. Place I had it sent to only charged me $25 for paperwork handling. Now the kicker, the place I sent it to could get it but it was $350. Ok, score. Now the double kicker, when I ordered it Walther was running a special, buy that model, send them in your purchase info, they send you a paddle holster, mag holster and another mag, you pay shipping. ($9.95) The dealer couldn't believe it.

Anywho, I'm plenty impressed with it. Weight is nice, trigger is AWESOME. Here's the pistol and target from first day. (only ran about 30 rds at a range of 15 meters but still, not bad. Give me more time with it this year...)
