How out of control will it get now?
« on: December 18, 2012, 11:01:34 am »
It's already starting fella's. The whole "assault weapon" thing. Dick's and a local shop have already pulled AR's off the shelfs. Already giving in before the fight starts. Other places are selling out the shelf models and is said if the rate keeps up the warehouses will be out of stock in about 2 months. 1 of 2 things, either they keep selling until they run dry or raise prices to keep stock on hand.

Mags are selling huge. Most sites I've looked at(out of curiousity) are already sold out.(saturday they had mags on hand) Ammo is probably going the same direction, especially 5.56. The scare is on and people are buying due to fear of bans. All it's going to do(right now) is drive prices way high.(kinda like oil prices and speculation)

The media is learning to slant terms even more though. I notice they are using the term "semi automatic" more instead of just "assault weapon/rifle". Just what the anti's need to push the agenda. So much for reporting fairly and accuaretly. They can't even get the facts right in this last horrible event.

Anywho, what's your guys' take? Anybody else think prices will go sky high and does anybody think this is what they need to really get a upper hand on pushing gun control?

Maybe this should be posted on the tinfoil board. If so I apologize and feel free to move it there.

Look where they are getting there figures from, they are interviewing any old tom, dick, and harry. All kinds of things are being said, as if it were fact, and the media is running with it.

The biggest one time massacre in recent history, happened on 9/11, and not a single gun was used.

Is this going to skyrocket the price of guns and ammo? hell yea, look at the last time when the so called assault weapons ban took affect. Probably would have been a smart investment to buy all the guns and magazines you could on Friday, I bet you could quadruple your investment in a few months.

I would not be surprised if Dicks warehouse will sit on those guns, and then sell them on the wholesale level in a few months, thats a win-win for them, they make tons of money, and look good to the anti assault weapons crowd.

Oh man, a lot of the online places have already halted sales of firearms, specifically the evil black rifles. Few places around here have pulled them off the shelves, other places are selling out. Everybody is going nuts. Granted, I'd like a M1A but, I'm not going to go drop $1,500+ because I'm afraid I won't get one. Even if I had the extra $ just kicking around to do it. All of this is just knee jerk reaction by everybody. Politicians, public......

I'll admit to buying new mags for my AR for plain and simple fact most of mine are not the best and planned on getting new anyways. After this morning(early) I found a site I could get a 10 pack for $125, I jumped on it. Other than that, not spending anymore money out of fear the stuff will get banned.

Ammo(5.56) has been depleted from online sales, ANYTHING AR has either been depleted or pulled.... Ridiculous it is. Bet if I was to go out to dunhams right now they would be out of 5.56.......
