Gun price question
« on: March 3, 2013, 10:32:54 am »
I guess to get a gun price online you have to pay. Does anyone know the value of a pre 94 Colt .223 Match HBAR type AR15?

Not right off hand. Check around, I'm sure you'll get a idea of what's "fair".(used to be about a $700 rifle but not these days.. ::))

Lately all I have seen for sale, is the cheaper AR clones, and they now want $1200, they used to fetch $600 to$700.

If it was gas prices going up like this due to a temp shortage, the gov would be all over the makers, distributors, and the dealers. Somebody's making a fortune off this.

A pre-ban Match HBAR - if it was in excellent condition, even if used - would've been $1200 - $1500 rifle before the nutiness started; $2000, if in factory mint condition!  PRE-ban Colts are the gold standard of AR's for collectors especially.

I would search gunbroker.com and gunsamerica.com for similar pricing.  There's one on gunbroker for $1400 right now.

Somebody's making a fortune off this.

Some people are making some money on this. Most have bought/hoarded everything hoping to make a killing.  They can also lose their shirts if a ban with any teeth never comes.

And that's what I'm hoping for. Drive prices way up,,,,, ridiculous. I hope these bans never materialize and they choke on the stuff they bought for way to high of a price. In some aspects I don't blame them for trying to make extra cash and those that paid $2,000 for a $700 rifle, sucks to be them. ;) Capitalism at it's best/worst. Hasn't hurt me one bit though. ;D I'll wait for supplies to start hitting the shelves again and buy. I refuse to pay $50 for a brick of 22lr.(private sale)

hoping for the same.  ridiculous prices. the real mistake these guys are making is that they are counting on limited supply, but all the manufacturers are putting the factories on full production.  Ban coming or not, at the end, there will be more product out there than customers to buy them. eventually the price will drop.
