    According to another board I frequent, DPMS isn't very good at updating their website.
    They have quite a bit of AR rifles, parts and accessories out of stock but aren't listing them as such.

    JSE surplus was who I would buy those uppers from, and they are very good about listing what is in stock.  I get dealer pricing from them :)

    They have great shipping times.  I order a lot from Palmetto State Armory too, their shipping is much slower.  Not too bad, but expect 2 to 3 weeks to get items that are in stock.  JSE is like 3 days.

    I ordered two complete uppers from JSE for $335 each, got some nice stocks/grips too.  My Dad fired his AR this past weekend, he was getting 2" 5 shot groups at 50 yards with the open sights.  Stock front sight and Magpul MBUS rear.  Pretty impressive.

    Finished the builds, the outer ones in the pic are the new builds, the middle one is my first build.  I hadn't installed the rear MBUS flip sights yet when the pic was taken.

    All of the guns shoot the same or better than what my Dad was getting.  No jams or miss feeds.  Only about 50 rounds went through each gun.  I will be sure to post up any issues I come across.

    Just to update, my dad put a 4 to 32 power Nikon (forget the model but it was made for AR-15s) on his.  He sighted it in at 100 yards, the scope has marking for every hundred after that.  Using the marking for 200 yards he shot a ground squirrel in the head at 200.  I don't shoot an animal unless I plan to eat it, but that was pretty impressive none the less.

    These are more like rats or field mice, about 4" long.  I don't know what they are really called, I have just called them ground squirrels

    That's a great deal for the pmags. I have a 10 pack on backorder through brownells for $125 and even that is a good deal considering going rated right now. I have a stag 15, A2 upper set up like a M4 barrel, handgaurd setup with collapsible buttstock. Boys, those of us with AR's are sitting on gold right now if we were silly enough to sell. Not this kid. I'm now trying to get the dough around for a M1A.

    Other than that I have 2 rifles I'm going to get rebarreled. 06 remington and a 8mm mauser. Getting my reloading area reorganised while I'm at it.

    I have about 12 unopened new military issue 30 round mags, glad I didn't sell them.  I have quite a few opened.  I think I am good on mags right now.  I do need to stock up on AK mags though.

    I'm sitting on two ATI Omni bare receivers that I picked up for $39 each. Have seen a couple go for over $310 the last couple of days.   Thinking about selling them. If not then I can do the builds I had planned for them.

    Let me know how much you are going to sell them for, I may be interested.  I can get Surplus Arms & Ammo lowers for $79 but only when they are available, and that isn't often.

    Bogie, might want to hold of on that. The new SAFE act requires any existing "high cap" magazines be blocked permanently to 10 rounds, discarded, or sold to a dealer or out of state buying by January 2014. There is no pre-ban anymore.

    I am unfortunately aware, we can buy 10 rounders till 4/15/13 anything over 10 has to be permanently modified or sold out of state. We NY'ers are fighting this

    On another note, just picked up a M1A scout, walnut stock, less than 100 rnds put through it, for a actual decent price.(considering) $1,800. I am now happy. ;D

    Other than oddball pieces from Brownells or Midway, I've built my last 5 AR's almost exclusively with parts from Grant - http://www.gandrtactical.com/

    At the moment of truth, I want my stuff to perform as advertised...  8)

    Read some of the technical threads at M4Carbine.net - GREAT stuff there, and good people to learn from.  {cool}
