I'm not impressed with 4 Wheel Parts (4WP) at all. I ordered new Skyjacker springs over 5 weeks ago and still no parts. I'm not sure if I will ever use that company again. Sheesh.

Did they ship them yet? Shipping here has been crazy, some things go fast, others sit in the same city for over a week. If they did not ship yet, and did not disclose that when you ordered the springs, then yes be mad as hell at them.

They did the same thing to me.  I ordered a 6" Pro Comp lift for a '19 1500 Ram on the lot we wanted to dress up and they said it was in stock when I ordered it.  Turns out Pro Comp was still in testing and hadn't offered it for sale yet.  It took me 3 months to get the lift.

It took USPS four weeks to deliver 3k bullets from ID to TN.  Package arrived with "2 Day Priority" label.  Date on label confirmed actual shipping start date.

I suspect if its heavy some workers are pretty OK with letting it sit until someone else deals with it.

4wp said it was in stock in their Langley B.C. store which is 1.5 hrs across the ocean from me on the mainland and a 40 min drive east from the ferry. I ordered a Flowmaster scavenger pipe which they say was in stock but wasn't and were holding the order until it shows up but I told them to send out what they have last week and still nothing. I'm not impressed. I could have ordered them from Summit Racing and be driving down the road long ago.

I quit using 4WP for this very reason....on the site everything shows "in stock" then when you call you get the runaround.  The last time I dealt with them the guy on the phone was rude, arrogant and just plain unhelpful.  I told him to cancel the order and I never looked back.

Mancini Racing shipped me a rear main seal via USPS 9 days ago.  Still not here, they are in Michigan and I am in Kansas City.

Waited 5 weeks for a camshaft this spring from Lunati.  In that case, I had to wait for them to get the blank, then the one and only one guy who makes it on the one and only one machine was out sick with Covid for at least 2 weeks.  Then the shipper broke the first one, anyone want a 2-piece cam?

I spent $64 to send my son's stimulus check to him in Spain via USPS 2-day international in March.  He got it in June.  It sat in Chicago for 3 months.

Much as I'd like to blame the delay in getting, well, anything on the manufacturers, there are a lot of supply chain disruptions in 2020.

About all I can suggest is that if any item or component of an item is Made in China, don't buy it.  If the only new part is Made in China, go with used or go without.  If you have to wait a while to get something that is not Made in China, wait.  It's worth it.

If you have a choice to ship something via USPS or anyone else, choose anyone else.

    That's my 2 cents, anyway.

Yes, never buy Chinese parts - especially for American automobiles. Ya i know this CON-VID bullshit is the reason for all of these delays but its strange that it takes over 5 weeks to deliver a part that sits only 2 hrs away by car (1hr if there was no ferry). I just ordered a new screen for my tablet that came from Toronto which is a 4 day drive away. I just don't get it.

Well, I finally got my front springs today (decades later) and now have the money to buy new rear Skyjacker springs and just found out that Skyjacker shutdown or is going to shutdown production or whatever the excuse is and therefore won't get anything for months and then heard on the news this morning that Canada post is "suspending service" in B.C. due to the wildfire smoke in Washington state. Wonderful.

What height lift springs for front?  If 4" then you COULD stack Skyjacker blocks on factory blocks until springs arrive.  I wouldnt go wheeling that way, though.  I have such blocks left from previous owner, which I just upgraded to springs

My new front springs are the Skyjacker DR40 2.5" lift. My only choice right now are blocks in the rear. I know i could stack them but im just going to do one solid block for now and then eventually do a rear shackle flip. I was thinking of tossing in a pair of Add-a-leaf's in the rear but I can't even get a pair of those.

I need new torsion bars and leaf springs for my 93 v8 dakota. Rather than starting a new thread I thought I would ask the question here if anyone knows of a place to buy new/reproductions of the suspension pieces? Everytime I take the truck camping or off road the springs sag by another inch.

    Guys...

If finding and ordering stuff is too troubling - deal with a local spring shop instead! They make spring packs on-site. And anything else they use is ordered in through channels that aren't backlogged several weeks.

That does not make sense, York Pa had two spring shops. Both would custom make springs, or stock many popular ones, both would make U-bolts while you wait. This little town in the middle of nowhere, has three that will custom make springs & U-bolts. I have never had a problem getting new U-bolts, and center bolts. I took my RC's rear springs into a shop in York, and they pressed out and put new spring bushings in, in about 15 mins.

    That sucks!  :(

My 'local' spring shops are 1-3 hours away. That's fast and close compared to backorders and waiting for international freight.

Yeah, the closest spring shop I have found was in Norfolk, a little over 4 hours away. Still doable, but a full day of driving and I would have to take a day off.

You know Kevin, I keep forgetting about the spring shops. Especially when one of them is a 15 minute drive away. Ill give them a call. From your experience, how well do they ride typically? Are they "bouncy" like Rough Country springs are? Lol. I understand that the higher the lift, the more arc the spring has, therefore more rough the ride will be.

Start with a phone call or visit... you'll have to communicate your expectations, and get a quote :) Westshore, Island, and Hub City come to mind. Are they making them from scratch, or ordering in from a supplier without backlog/delivery problems? Leaf thickness? Poly tips on the leafs or not?

The custom/local front springs I got from Carrier (Abbotsford) were a unique product meant for heavy use. I don't expect to see anything like them in a rear application.
