Fabbed up a pushbar.. Well half of one anyway...
« on: September 26, 2010, 10:49:07 am »
Was going to buy one but funds were a little low and since I already had this one thought I would just us it instead.. It's for show only, made from aluminum.. It was to short to start with and I could'nt use the lights I wanted to in between the cross bars so I fabbed up some new taller uprights from some 3/8" aluminum flat bar and made new mounting brackets from some 2x2 angle iron I had lying around and just reused the cross bars.. Thought about polishing it but this will be going on my green truck so I'm going to paint and stripe it to match.. Should look nice when It's painted and on the truck..

    Anything new?
    Jim

Nothing new yet Jim, just been driving the piss out of it right now.. I been putting up a dollar or two here and there when ever I can to buy things needed for the Rockwell install.. Things like bigger lift, hydro assist steering, 4-wheel disc brakes, 4.90 gear sets, wheels, and ect... Hope to have it all and them installed later this year..  I post pics of the parts and the install when I can start buying parts and they start arriving...

About how much total did that pushbar, in both dollars for material and time and labor go into making that bar? And how did you go about constructing it? Looks excelent!
