Longer travel out of my 75 w100
« on: October 31, 2017, 11:14:12 am »
Hey, I'm new to the board, I'm not sure where to post it, so I'm gonna post it a couple times. I'm trying to figure out how some of y'all have gotten longer travel on leaf springs. I know deavers are good, but they're to high, how many of y'all run 63inch Chevy springs in the rear.

    I had 63's on the back of my BIG rock crawler and it flexed awesome...but it also weighed 9000 lbs which aided compression travel and had rockwells hanging under it so the leafs kinda had no choice but to extend until the limit straps got tight.....but still they worked great.  They were the standard ProComp Chevy rears with the 5.5" bump....or was it the 7.5" bump {think} - I honestly don't remember which but they had a lot of arch and flexed great {cool}

    I've got 64in 2500 chevy rears in my truck (MAD MAXX installed them), haven't offroaded much with them but they sure do ride a hell of a lot better than the stockers.

    I'd say the 64's did more for my ride quality than anything else, including the 52s up front.
