inner rockers
« on: March 25, 2018, 06:53:38 pm »
Getting ready to do some sheetmetal work on one of my crew cab trucks.  The truck needs both inner and outer rockers to do a nice repair.  Outer rockers are available from any number of suppliers however I have never seen any vendor offering inner rocker replacement panels.  I realize that the inner's are basically straight metal panels therefore my question:

Does everyone fabricate their own inner rocker replacement panel if needed when installing new replacement outer rocker panels?

Yeah, I cut mine out of the top section of a w150 fender that had the dogleg rotted out.  Same thickness and better corrosion protection.  Did use a campbell hausfeld pneumatic saw to make the cuts smoother and straighter.

I've had some cut out & bent with a 16 ga galvanized @ a local sheet metal shop.
