Bumper
« on: July 4, 2017, 07:01:06 pm »
So I'm fabbing some bumpers for my W150, I've got some 1.5" box tubing, my uncle is bring home some 8"x8" along with a couple odd spare pieces of steel which should be all the materials I need other than mounting brackets which I may steal off of my current bumpers.

This is the set up I want:

Go in vertical slices of the pic, find something with a known dimension and compare it to things above or below it in the pic.  For example, you know the size of the headlamp, compare it to the bumper height.  Just don't try to compare the driver side headlamp's size to anything towards the passenger side as the truck in the image gets smaller the farther it goes away from the point of view of the camera.

I agree that the bumper does appear to be a cut-down M35 bumper.  The grille guard looks to be a typical aftermarket piece available years ago.  It's also mounted too high and is blocking the headlamp somewhat.
