durable computer screen?
« on: July 16, 2013, 09:58:00 pm »
I had a 17" CRT computer monitor and it was a beast, short of shooting it I couldn't injure it, it survived falls, punches, slammed into the wall, etc. It was heavy as all get out but it was very strong and durable it survived almost 10 years as my monitor which is a difficult thing because most of my cars only last a year.Eventually the monitors electronics started failing.First it took along time to turn on, then the screen started flickering on an off, finally it wouldn't power on at all so I now have an old ACER 17" LCD.It worked alright for a little but then my cat jumped on my ghetto desk it was on and the screen fell onto the floor. The screen still works but now there are several large areas where the screen is cracked and the pixels don't work there. The screen feels fairly soft, when you press on it the pixels deform and change colors...I'm just kinda irrated because this thing is all broken for A: something I didn't do, and B: its broken after something the old CRT would have laughed off on its worst day.

I also have a kindle fire that the touchscreen irks me and sometimes I throw it across the room, and I have yet to even put so much as a scratch on it.
