Color Printer Ink
« on: October 6, 2019, 04:03:03 pm »
I have a HP Office Jet Pro 6830 printer/copier/scanner.  I use b/w printing about 99% of the time.

The three color print cartridges are costly; ~$50.

Are those kits that have small bottles of ink with needles to "refill" the ink cartridges any good and do they even work?  I've seen them advertised in magazines for ~$20.

Thanks.

Not really, sometimes they work sometimes they dont. If the printer sits idle for more than a week or so the ink starts to dry up or clog.  Printing something twice a week helps. It gets costly buying $50 of ink only to clean the print head w/ it. So i gave up🤯

    Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, that's what I thought.  I haven't had any problem w/ ink drying up, though.  The cartridges for my old Lexmark dried up most of the time so I gave up on it.  lol
