wiring my voltage regulator

how can i wire up my alternator tht has a built in voltage regulator, to my truck tht has its own volltage regulator?

i have a 1990 v6 truck, put a  86 v8 motor in it and decited to use the v6 alternator, i know it can be done i just help...

The stock '90 alternator is not internally regulated.  The regulator is in the computer.  You would wire it up just like the '86.
'85 W150 SB, 408 stroker, Magnum manifolds, Performer RPM, 670 Truck Avenger, HEI ignition, Auburn LSD 9.25 and '82 D44 (non-CAD) with 3.55/3.54,  NV4500/NP241

Did you remove the original wiring/ remove the computer?  Otherwise it goes the same way the old one came off - big wire to the terminal with the bolt/nut, and the two little wires go the either field terminal (doesn't matter which one, they are reversible).

i have the original piece tht wires up the v6 alternator and i have all the wires tht should go to the alternator for the v8 system

however i did remove the computer and pretty much made all the wiring the truck would need minus
