My windshield wipers dont work anymore. I got a new motor and a new wiper switch. nad they still dont work. i put a new fuse in also
I need some help. If anyone knows what is wrong i will take any help possible thanks
Simple test....ground the motor housing with a wire. Wrap a piece of wire or touch a piece of wire to the motor housing and a ground point with the wipers on. See if they work. Solved my problem. HTH
As mentioned, try running a seperate ground wire over to the wiper motor case and see if it starts up.
Wiper Fails to Operate
Blown fuse
Faulty instrument panel switch.
Linkage disconnected.
Faulty motor.
Open or grounded wiring.
Motor not grounded.
Faulty circuit breaker.
Jammed or faulty gearbox mechanism.
Motor overheated.
Binding linkage.
I would try the ground strap on the bottom driver side. My 86 had a problem with it not making good contact(especially when raining). Push it until the strap touches the metal.
