I have a 94 Ram 1500 w/Auto tranny with o/d. The othere day it felt like the tranny was slipping when I was going uphill @ about 50 MPH. My mileage is at about 85k and don't know when the fluid/filter was changed last.
my wifes 2001 RAM 1500 did this the other day / the bitch let it get down a quart / l could have killed her / l,d change the fluid and do a band adjustment / mines do at 86k
Its not going to be cheap. Those 46re/518's are basically a 727 with an overdrive slapped on. So basically the o/d unit doesn't get enough fluid to keep cool and they go out. Its not going to be cheap. My dad's cost him about $2000 when he had his done.
I got a Chrysler Reman for 1400. that was discounted. they are normally 18 probably and they have 3 yr and 36K mile warranty.
