Transfer Case Vacuum Switch

So, I took my truck into the shop to get the vacuum lines to the CAD unit replaced. The truck now will only shift into either 4 or 2. Will not switch between them without switching the vacuum lines back and forth. Which lead us to believe the Transfer Case Vacuum Switch is bad (part #730-1637 I believe). Problem being, they said that part isn't made anymore. Any idea as to where I could get one, anyone have an extra laying around?

yup the jeep one works

and boy did they screw your truck up / they have it hooked up wrong / the engine vacuum is hooked to the bleed off vacuum port / thats why you gotta switch them

Well I definitely learned my lesson for a life time,

Never, ever take your vehicle into the shop if you can fix it yourself. They only seem to break more shit than they fix. I took my truck in there, twice now. The four wheel drive obviously isn't fixed (as previously mentioned), they broke my CB whip and didn't even have the audacity to tell me (oh, and there fix, electrical tape), my heat no longer works and the truck is running hotter. How does that even happen. I'm definitely going to write them a bill about the whip.

The part just came in yesterday. Thanks moparmike.

What would be the best way of getting at this. If I'm not mistaken, it's at the top of the transfer case, and the body is kinda in the way. I haven't looked at it yet, just from what I've heard.

You do it when your t-case is out for a rebuild, like I did.  ;D

Sorry, I haven't attempted it while the case is mounted. It looks like it would save a lot of cussing if you just lowered the case a bit, but I seem to recall others doing it in place.  {noclue}

I'm going to be taking it into the shop to have it done. A different one then the previous one mentioned, mainly due to us already having a few inches of snow on the ground that I quite frankly don't want to be tinkerin around in. Just wondering if it would be a pricey job.
