OIL FILTERS

chrysler300le:
Hold up there, Magnums dont' take the same oil filter as the LA small block.  I don't have a cross reference for your Mopar filter, but if its a true magnum it will take a Fram PH16.  Wix 51085 or Purolater L14670, Purolator PureOne is PL14670.  Purolators L34875 is speced out for the V10 engine it is a longer version of the L14670.

Your right...the FE292 crosses over to the PH16.

BurnOut:
Use Napa Gold, or Wix... just a second let me find you a link...

Just please don't use Fram. My best friend and I took one off of his 68 Newport after just 500 miles, and the element was loose inside the casing. The backflow is terrible, and can do serious damage to your engine starting dry just for a second every time...

Oh, i see someone already put up a link to that study. Nonetheless, I stand with my post. My friend and I use the Napa 1515 on everything: my 86 and 84 truck 360's, my 65 car 383, his 68 car and 70 truck 383's. The diameters, inner and outer, and threads are all the same.

I know that when I used to use Fram, I'd look up the part # and they were different (between Magnum and LA). However, when I switched to Mobil 1 filters, they listed the same part number, which is also the same they list for my 77 440 motorhome.
I've been using the same part # on all 3 for a couple of years without a problem. I've always wondered why the other brands listed different #'s. ???
