Mopar Rear Disc brake conversion ?
« on: December 19, 2011, 07:56:29 PM »
Ok before I start trying to retrofit a rear disc set-up ,
I'd figure I would ask here.
Does anyone know which MOPAR rear disc brake set-ups will work on a 9 1/4 axle ,
I have access to a 05 durango with discs as a possible donor , but not sure if it will fit or if 15" wheels will clear calipers.

Appreciate any reasonable input.

l,ve heard from the jeep dudes that the GC rear disc,s fit 15 inch wheels / the bolt pattern is different and the rotors need drilling

Complete kits are available at TSMMFG: http://tsmmfg.com/2551C.htm
If you choose the rear parking brake calipers, expect problems in the future.

It's not that TSMs product is bad, the design of the calipers (Caddillac) is bad.

I don't think the 2005 brakes clear 15" rims. As far as i know it had 17" rims from the factory.
