Having a tough time removing the a/c lines to the evap. core. Is there a certain trick to this? One of them more or less fell off, the other is being a pain. I've tried tugging on it as hard as I possibly could. There is a round spring in there holding tension on it. How do I hold back the spring while pulling in a small confined space, like right up against the firewall......  ??? ???

I'm not familiar with what your working on but it sounds a lot like some later model fuel lines. If so, there is a set of removers for it. They used to be a specialty thing but lately I've seen em in just about every parts store I've been in. If your not sure ask for AC line remove tool.

If it is similar to the fuel lines that Dodge uses, you could try a home made tool like I did.
I was in the middle of the job and didn't want to make the 40 minute drive to a part store that probably didn't have one anyway.

I used a tiny hose clamp, cut the screw mechanism off, and cut to it length so it would just fit the circumfrence of the fuel line. Then, all I had to do was slide it into the connector enough to force the clips up, then pull to remove the line. *******? yes, but it worked quick and easy.
