What do I do to release the tension off the serpentine belt? mine is pretty bad but besides that the ideler pulley is squealing and getting hot, the bearings are trying to come out of the back of it, also the one bolt the holds it keeps coming loose.  Think I found two bolts under the power steering pump that should let the tension off the belt, even when I remove those two bolts the pump isn't moving and tension isn't loosening.

Yeah I love mine & I have a 5 spd behind it.  I loosened all the bolts holding the power steering pump to it's bracket (like 5 bolts) and whaaalla. My jeep's not really  all that  rusty at all.

Mine has lived in Pennsylvania and Va for sure and I don't know where else.  It took me one minute to put that stupid new pulley on, 30 minutes to figure out how to get the tension off of the belt. I'll know what to do next time, still love my jeep.

Looking down from the top there is a bolt coming in from the back at the pivot, and on the front directly across from it that need to be loosened.  Also, under the pump is a long bolt for tightening and loosening the belt.  There is a small bolt on the bracket that the long bolt screws into that needs to be loosened.  Just did this on mine since I had to replace the alternator.  I can get pics later if needed.
