Hi I'm new to this site, my father and I are doing repairs on his Ramcharger and I was wondering if there are any other gas tanks that will fit in place. The OEM stock tank is no longer available to purchase so we are looking for something close. The original gas tank was the steel 24 gallon tank and we would like to put a new steel tank around 24 gallons in as a new one. So far the closest tank we have found are the Dodge B 300 full size vans steel gas tanks. Any thoughts? Oh by the way here are some pictures of the ramcharger, this is the original paint, and only the second set of tires on it
well with any steel tanks your gonna have problems finding a good one with no rust. i had a steel tank in my 78 and although it didnt leak it was littered with rust on the inside and kept causing carb problems. the factory optioned tank for those trucks was a plastic 35-36gal tank which seems to be the preference for guys around here. i picked one up at the u-pull junk yard for under 50 with the sending unit and tank straps and it pretty much bolts right in place of the steel tanks.

Thanks for the post, well at least someone still makes steel tanks for it. But we were just looking for a small gas tank, for now i guess we'll buy the tank out of a b300 dodge van its dimensions are close so hopefully we can make it fit
Investigate the 45 gallon NW Metal products tank. I have one on my 1983 RC. Good addition.
