It's been a while since I replaced a Kickdown Cable on a 94+ Dodge Truck, so I can't remember, but do they connect to a lever like the old kickdown linkage did? Or do they feed into the transmission casing like a Cheby?
I can't run a Kickdown Linkage on my PW50 (273/904), I barely have enough room to turn the distributor (firewall clearance) and nowhere near enough room for the bellcranks for the Kickdown. The local Junkyard quoted me $5 for a Kickdown Cable, which is a big difference when compared to the outrageously overpriced Lokar setup.
Fabricating new brackets and mounting tabs is easy, but my memory sucks, so I can't remember what one of the 94+ kickdown cables looks like.
I appreciate the info, guys. I couldn't remember how it connected, even though i replaced one about 2 years ago, but in those 2 years I've probably worked on a thousand other vehicles. So it's not hard to forget some stuff, especially when you're not trying to "memorize it for a future project"

Yes, they hook to a lever on the trans just like the older ones.
.....and the Lokar setup is not over-priced, the Bouchillon is.
At the moment the Lokar is overpriced for me, I'm working slower than usual due to an undiagnosed pain in my right side (spent my saturday in the ER). So the $5 Cable is king right now Don't get me wrong, under normal circumstances it's a great deal (and I will be getting one when i feel better and am working at full capacity)
But you're right, the Bouchillon setup is extremely pricey, almost twice what Lokar wants for theirs BTW Mopar Perf. is off their rockers too, their Kickdown Cable is priced the same as the Bouchillon Kit... And that's just the Cable, the "Kit" is a little over $230 Who in their right mind would pay $230 for a piece of wire and some stainless casing?
