How well will a 8 3/4 rearend hold up to a dodge dakota that has a 360 auto and 37's. the third member is a aftermarket 3rd member with richmond pro gears and mark williams billet main caps and adjusters. I plan on back bracing it and putting a truss on it.

I dont believe you would need to backbrace and truss it. one or the other would suffice. are you planning on 35 spline axles?

I did not plan on it. The center section I have a mark williams spool that is a 35 spline but the axles are expensive and I do not want a spool so I was going to find some one to trade it to for a locker. and then get moser axels.

With a locker and 37" tires your weak link is going to be the shafts.

they were in most all W100s and RC's through 1974. you should be fine. i'm about to put one in my 79 RC. it already has moser axles in it. i plan to brace the top some but that's it. i'll be running 35s at first but 37s eventually. do not use the green axle bearing, they won't hold up to the deflection of a 4x4, especially in the rocks. adjusting the end play isn't that hard really anyway.
