After some browsing on the web, and finally finding the pics that I took before buying the axle, it appears I didn't get quite as good of a deal as I thought... Undecided

To confirm this, I'm gonna let you all see the pics and see what you think.

You prolly can't see it in the smaller pictures, but there are little windows on the carrier where the indentions are, and they have small wire screens held in by wire clips.

Starting out, the 14 bolt was 'supposed' to have a Detroit locker in it.  Not actually seeing any spider gears (and not being familiar with a 14b at the time), and doing the ole' spinning one tire and seeing the other spin the same direction, I thought it must have it, or something like it.

Question now is, am I gonna have to pull the carrier and take it apart, to figure out what I have, or can we tell what's in there according to the pic?  I suspect that I may have the highly "popular" gov-loc in there somewhere......... :'(

Yup, that's a Gov Lock.  Here's a thread where someone welded one up with pics to compare:

http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109441

Open carries look similar externally but have 4 spider gear shafts instead of the 3 that the Gov Lock uses.
