    Looks good Sam {cool}

    Nice to see you finally upgraded to the latest stable version. The black takes a bit to get used to, but I think it's because it's such a drastic chance from the light theme you had going before.

    Now I see what you've been off doing all this time. I have to say, after having my site up and running for about 6 months now, I know how much work this can be, especially a full upgrade like this. It's a full time job + some. I don't know how you do it with the kiddos and all.

    So I'm assuming you upgraded the database and php as well?

    Have you checked out TinyPortal by Bloc yet?
    If not, it installs to SMF as a mod and adds some extra functionality. Makes adding stuff to that empty space over there on the left, really quick and easy. I think they just released version 1.0 to the public. I've been using ver. 0.9.83 for a while. It's pretty stable, though I have to say, I'm becoming more and more a fan of hardcoding. It seems to get a more stable page alignment across different browsers. Especially IE6.

    Anyway, looks great Sam.
    Can't wait to see what it looks like in a month or two once you get the bugs worked out.

    all i request is a change of color for the numbers for the forum pages, (like when you click on shaftmasters build up i can't navigate the pages worth a bean, I can't read them unless i put my face to the screen and then still can't make them out very well, lots of guessing hehe.  too dark, a nice fuscia or yellow or even white would add some contrast and visibility....

    Sam was there a reason for not having the profile with where the person is from left out?  If not can it be added back so I can tell where the person I am talking to is located or when he or she posts something I know where they are from (without going to their profile sites each time I what to know). Otherwise after my son lightened the back ground I love the new site! puttputt56

    wel all looks great, the pages in dark blue against black, I can't even view anyones posts, unless I move around the cursor and just wait for the lil hand to pop up, then I just hop I get the page I want. site is too frustrating to use at present, can't navigate any of the projects or view any history on the projects, can't read the page numbers, on top of the posts.... really really frustrating.

    Change the look then, you have that option in your profile.

    I have a similar problem, and that doesn't work for me. In fact, I have a different "look" at home than at work, and they are both on the same profile (default)

    Yep, cleared the cache. Both browsers are IE, one is IE6, the other IE7.

    I know from doing the layout of my site, IE6 has some real issues. That might be the problem right there, since this version of SMF uses a different layout file to help resolve some of those issues in IE6 compared to IE7

    Try downloading and using Firefox to view this site. If the issue goes away, you know it was IE, if it doesnt, then it might be a site related issue. If you are using IE6, i bet that is the problem right there. You should upgrade to IE7 or try Firefox to resolve the issue. If that doesnt work, please let us know.

    downloaded explorer 7 and now i can see stuff, the website does not like explorer 6 in the slightest.... no offense to firefox but I'd rather stick to well supported products like explorer, its just sad, microsoft leaves itself so open for attack, but then again, if firefox was the main cheese, probably be the same situation in reverse....

    Actually IE use vs. Firefox use is about 60/40 with firefox cathing up very fast and will most likely pass up IE by next year. http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp

    I agree, IE6 hates the new site.  However, I did a clean XP install with IE7 and the database is still functioning poorly.  I can sometimes interrupt it's seach and hit back button to get the page, but that is hit-or-miss.
