 Thought some might like a "little " truck build stripping her down, and freshin up things gonna take the twin 660's for a ride. installing more safety equipment (ultra bell and trans shield) changing the rear coil over set-up. engine is a 446/alum rods ported 452/shaved .100 off the heads 4500 stahl/4.56 31 x14-15 MT show ya how i cut the bell off with a brake lathe tommorrow

thanks for the interest stay tuned  got side tracked moddin the case since gonna have shavings everywhere when i cut the bell off. Robbed a hemi trans today/looked dead had a big bite (Barracuda)? bite out of it  of all its guts( 4 pinion plantetarys) etc 5 disc front and 4 disc rear.

 Why would someone do that to a trans?  I was  But it is getting a new life. cut the bell off the truck trans today used an old gutted pump housing to mount in brake lathe followed directions> took a saw to it but first cut a reference mark on the inside then cleaned up the cut.

i'll wash every thing tommorrow stuff the hemi parts in use the manual valve body.  This Rampage was my daily driver/ parts chaser for 8 years. the Art Morrison chassis, i had under a daytona. Wanting something different, one day the rampage gas tank started leaking (pin hole)  thats the day I took the Saw to it.  been working on it off and on for 6 years. My goal is to race it this year get the eng and trans back in should keep me going

OK so you cut the small block bell off to weld on a big block bell.
No, It bolts to the pump with longer pump bolts and the bevel in the trans, centers the bell. This is my 2nd bell,for me, i have done 6 others, over the years, not one problem Heres the Car hauler eng/518, has pulled the mountains, loaded and pulling a trailer only thing MOANin was the Thermoquad

got the trans built, moving on finished the bracing for the rear housing weighs 49 lbs next is to fit the wilwood disc hat and caliper brackets. (housing just resting/ sitting waiting on installation)

dang both headers through the passengers side!  ride height is 4" off the ground, headers wouldn't go under and didn't want them around the starter. So, up and over, also wanted to be able to remove valve covers if needed.have header wrap when closer to finish. plan is a couple of 45* and straight out the back/ flame thrower

got the front clip on, wheel wells are centered  gonna build the front supports next, for the clip jeep radiator fits like it was made for it.

got most of the upper coil-over mounts fabbed. the 3/4" rods are 1/4" wall the upper one goes ALL the way out both sides

No work at the airport today (raining) needed to remove a rudder from a DC-9 ain't happenin in the rain/ runnin the crane. So I stayed home and "hit the Bars"  got one more to add on the right.

That thing looks bada$$!  Thanks Rolled it out the door today to clean the shop put the topper and tailgate on depends on corner weights, if i run the tailgate or not. May use it like a weight box, for some 2 wheel action

Scott Been a busy few months major flood here (Nashville,tn) April 20 was 27' ABOVE flood stage of 17' mom's house flooded have been tearing out walls and carpet throwing out all appliances. parts I ordered were returned cause they couldn't boat the parts to an address some parts i went to pick up, were soaking wet, that bussiness also was flooded was 2 weeks before i coud even get to town due to high water or blocked /washed out roads Thought I was keeping my head above water mom passed away june 17  It will be a bit longer, I'll be back, lots of things to take care of first I did finally get the shear/bender temp set the body on to do the tin work Thanks to everyone for the interest in this build Howard

I have really enjoyed your builds and this is one of the top builds I fallow. sorry to hear about your mom and the hard times with the flood and all. keep your head up and noise to the grid stone.
