O I see.
HAHA of course you did! Someones going to need another driveway soon :P
Let me know if you need help with picking it up or anything else.

I started a new job today and think I'll stick around, the yard is literally 2-3 min from your house so I'll be close by most days!

I wonder if mine where bad because they where getting old and hard? Cause they where terrible on anything wet or cold, on dry roads I couldn't break them free. One thing I liked is that they lasted me a long time, over 2 years and something like 100,000 km or more and they where used when I got them, at least they didn't owe me anything. Sold em for I think $350 with aluminum rims, so that covers part of one new tire :P

Bought mine brand new. They have been amazing in all weather so maybe the set you had did just get old. Mine still hold great. I have a really hard time breaking them loose. I can do it if I'm on a wet hill while turning lol.

They are going on the rc when I finish it and I'm putting a new set on this truck

That would be sweet, saves a trailer rental!

Ya that's what I was thinking, I was worried about moving up there then trying to find a job. The drive kind of sucks, but you did it for years, I'll get used to it. I picked this place because I'd rather drive 30+ min out of the city then into it!

I guess I can't fairly judge then, mine came used with the truck. What size are yours? And what wheels are you putting on your truck? I'm in the market for some new rubber and having a hard time.

    ya

i think your commute would be better than mine since your commute would be against traffic and not with it. plus at least your truck is better on fuel than my gas guzzling v8. i did it for 5 years. if only i had a car i would have saved a crap load in fuel. $15-20/day on fuel adds up.

My wife works with a guy that swears he's Eric Forman, although not his real name and that the head writer was one of his high school buddies (I think the Kelso character?). "Point Place" on the show does appear to quite possibly be Pleasant Prairie, which is just a couple of towns over, so maybe?

90% of my Canadian friends live South of me in Toronto. All are city dwellers but we still bust their balls regularly with every stereotype we can possibly think of.

My are 35 12.50 15. The wheels I got are some 15x10 aluminum bullet holes that are deep set so the tires stick out a little further. But since I drive this truck a lot I'll probably go to some steel wheels I have that are more in set and use the same size for a new set of the bag all terrains. I know they changed the style but if you call the right stores they can get the old style for really cheap sometimes

That's hilarious! When the show ended I was pretty upset, felt like friends had moved away! I looked up "point place" and found it's a fictitious town. That was disappointing too, I'd like to see the water tower one day and climb it :P haha.
I live about 30 min from Toronto. I just refuse to drive (or ride my moose) that way as much as possible. Too much traffic and stupid people. And I'm getting used to YALL American's jokes on here and when I visit. It's not your fault your raised to think the entire galaxy revolves around the U-S-A! :)

I can't find a picture anymore, must be on a usb. But I think mine where the same, except 16". I also had aluminum wheels with 8 holes. I went to a few places today looking for wheels.. got info on more places to look, but nobody spent the time to help me find anything. The search continues!

The thing about the guy that says he's Eric Forman is pretty believable. He's a pretty straight shooter and he was saying for the first couple of years "Jesus, that reminds me of me and my high school buddies. The basement even looks like my parents' basement did. It's eerie, man."

Then one day he comes in and says "I looked closely and the writer (maybe the creator) has the same name as one of my old high school buddies! WTF!"

A while after that he said he got in touch with somebody else from high school that confirmed it or talked to the writer/creator guy or both. I can't remember.

Anyways, it's one of those stories where you'd normally say "Yeah, right" as you rolled your eyes but this seems awfully believable to everybody that knows the guy and heard the story play out over a few years' time.

The real kicker? My wife is a Correctional Officer and the guy is a Sheriff's Deputy. Eric Forman became "the man." Hyde must be horribly disappointed.

That's so funny! I'd believe it though, most good stories are based on real life. And the show is pretty basic, I'm sure a lot of people can relate to their lives!

"It's eerie, man" that sounds a lot like Leo! haha

Sounds like "Eric" got jipped on his cut from the show :P And I guess Eric is now the one puttin foots in asses! haha

    Cool story, thanks for sharing!

Honda didn't like 2 strokes ? that's a kick cause his 50 was a 2 stroke and it made him here in USA   some kinda auto mix , oil here, gas here .
    Are you sure about that?
What year are you talking about?
The little Honda the Beach Boys sang about was this... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Super_Cub... A Four Stroke!
The first 2 stoke that was mass produced was the Elsinore 250 in 1973.
I was there and I thought I was betrayed.  ;D

    Kurt,

I'm afraid you're mistaken about this. The Elsinore was Honda's first two stroke MX race bike but their very first bike used a 50cc two stroke war surplus engine, followed by a 50cc two stroke of Mr. Honda's own design, still in the 1940's. The first engine he ever designed was that two stroke. The Super Cub was indeed a four stroke but I believe Honda had other small displacement two strokes before and during that time.

Elsinores were bad fast at the time of their inception, giving our Yamaha MX series bikes fits... until the YZ series bikes came to be with more power than the MX series and the Monoshock suspension. Then it was pretty much game over until Honda built the CR250R in the early 80's. THAT was a bad, bad boy.

    that sounds pretty weird
    In California they're almost illegal.
I've ridden 2 stroke 125 motocross bikes... their powerband is this wide... ().   ;D
not too surprising considering how the emission Nazi's are in California.

crazzywolfie loves his Lawn Boy's :) He can spot one a mile away!
lol you got to admit it is a pretty good and cool machine. you saw it when we picked it up. it took no time at all to fix it and get it running. they just keep going and going.

Mmmm... a two stroke full of 110 octane or better, mixed with Klotz or Bel-Ray synthetic, is about the best smelling thing on Earth.

i have never smelt it mixed with oil but i use to smell it when opening the trailer doors or walking into the warehouse in the morning. even a small amount of 110octane fuel usually had a very strong smell

I remember Castrol R. A lot of guys still use a cap full of two stroke oil in old Harleys today. A buddy of mine swears by it in his old stuff. His Knuck smells wonderful.

"Castrol" was and is a contraction of "castor oil."

I wouldn't know anything about "real" Harleys or "real" bikers on the Internet. Whenever those conversations pop up my bullshit meter goes off the deep end and I tune out.

Castrol had a very low percentage of actual castor oil in it but it was a very helpful additive way-back-when. Hell, it might still have it.

BIG difference isn't it !!? as a kid the dedacated off road bikes had just begun being sold to the "rich" folks montessa etc we used stripped road bikes we bought cheap . I had the opportunity to ride my kids 2 bikes , 1 a restored Honda 4 stroke enduro(?) (street trail) from late 60's? and a modern one , I had a JOB with the old one , but the new bike was EASY to ride ( ounce I got the clutch right ..... ) ( loose sand ) Big improvement . but the ground hurts morn it usta so I didn't get carried away ......... carried away get it ?LOL

My dad was a Yamaha/Triumph dealer back then and we even had Hodakas for a hot minute. Ultimately, this was a tough combination that led to lots of unintentional downshifts.

Yamahas shifted 1 down, 4 up.

Hodakas shifted 1 up, 4 down (aka GP shift).

Up until '75, Triumphs were right-side shift.

    Good times.

almost time to go back to work here. helped the boss start setting up at the local home show today. i did about 90% of the cutting which felt pretty good. also came up with lots of good idea's. i pushed a brick in to get the brick out from behind it and the boss ended up liking how it looked. he even like my idea of adding a light to the 1. i thought it looked pretty good. i guess we will see what the customers and other guys think. i am pretty pleased with what we accomplished in 5 hours.

I got recruited once to do one of those shows.
They put up some old walls that have been used many times in the past and I had to float over the previous mess.
Those walls grew in weight every show they did.  ;D
Then put one of my trick textures over that. I used "hot mud" to texture with, so that it could be faux painted immediately after I was done.
Some guys I knew were working on another "room" nearby and were blown away that I was texturing with "hot mud".

lol. it is not that bad. all the material we used is brand new. nothing gets glued together it only took 5 hours to toss it together and i bet will take even less time to haul apart since we won't have to think about how to piece things together to look good and don't have to do any cutting. looks pretty good today now that it is all done up. i wouldn't be surprised if about 75% of our seasons work comes from this show.
