The last fire we had on a trail was a 440. We didn't let it burn that long. Dave went home got another harness and had it ready to drive out by the time we came back toward camp. We did have an extinguisher though...
Even in my DD bonneville i keep a tiny kitchen type fire extinguisher. I thought it was somthing that everyone does that abuses their machines on the trail/ in the mud does.
Even tho its a ford, i still woulda let him use mine to put the fire out.
I'm guessing a lot of those rollovers was with guys with locked axles.
Suitable for straight line drags; but not turning.
