im picking up my first crew 80 w250 360/727/205 with 60s. getting a smoking deal on it. its from out west so next to no rust. pics to come in the next few days. Also picking up a 93 with a 360 that will be a donar truck for the crew. im stoked about this build.

its all rednecked out. 3 hocky puck high body lift, double stacked blocks in the rear, 2" block in the front.thats part of the reason the truck is crashed out is to the boddy lift, they never extended the steering stem...

well just got home with the crew, its a 80 no a 81 like the guy said it also has a 205 case not a 208. its gonna need some floor pans in the front and a cab mount on the frame fixed but thats fine. for once in my life im happy with my fleet. 73 dart with a built big block, 78 short bed with a big block and 60s under it, 80 crew cab with 60 under it,90 jeep wrangler 360/400/20 with 60s under it. 87 wrangler 100% rust free, and my dd 97 ext cab. the only thing i would like to pick up now is a 74 rc with a bb and 4psd but thats just a dream lol. pics of the crew tomarrow

OK, it is a '81 but titled as a '80, very common with military/forestry service trucks, they were titled when they were received even though with a 12/80 date the truck is a '81.. Wink

Ckeck the dash VIN by running it through the VIN decoder here on RCC, that will tell you what's up with your new crew.. Agree

Leon is right the fenders and bed are from an 81+ BUT the doors look like they are from an 80.

The 80 was the last year for the 70's style fenders. 81 was the first year for the 81-93 fenders.

Someone may have put a different bed and fenders on it though.

Then again it could be a build date of 80 but have the 81 body style.  Wink

do the doors have the fender body line or not? Is the Vin # on the drivers door?

Leon is right the fenders and bed are from an 81+ BUT the doors look like they are from an 80.

I'm right there with you being lost.. Huh The only thing that makes sense to me is Dodge was short one '80 crew cab and slapped a '80 VIN on a '81 and shipped it on out.. No clue

got the bed and front clip off the 93, but things are at a stand still for a few weeks. working 7days aweek is getting old, 4 trailers are down and another on its way.running you own shop sucks.

got the motor/trans/tcase ready to drop in tomarrow, then i gotta run the fuel lines and get the new tank in for the efi. should have the dash wiring done tomarrow also. pics to come

my guess is '80 cab and they thrashed the bed and front clip so they just got a parts truck for cheap and used the later style bed and front

ya no spark plugs here. the body of the club cab is trashed, driveline is the only thing worth the crap, interior is nice so ill be using that also.
