thanks for the props and the vote!! the upper link is 36" and the lower links are 47" eye to eye.the shocks are 50" apart at the axle and 40" at the upper mount.they lean forward about 65 or 70 degrees and in about 80.

looks great. that'll take a few rollovers for sure. mind if i steal your ideas for my buddies 85 K5? he's a big fan of your build and has already cut the blazer off right behind the front seats, floor, body and roof, frame, everything is gone and in a big pile behind the shop. he wants to fold in the front fenders to the core support, cut the hood and boat side it too. he's gonna enter for TTC 07 also so we might see you there.

you guys help yourselfs to the ideas !! and make sure you build a hoop thats tied into the frame for the radiator (if you leave it up front) and tube the nose out,you lose a lot of strength when you pinch the front!! i will post pics of mine as i go !! and we'll be lookin for ya in "07" !!

this is a 3 link as i'm lookin for crazy articulation in the rear to make up for the stiff front!! IMHO 4 links bind under throttle,i think 4 link for the front is good for stability and 3 link in the rear for mad twist !! my buddy did the math as all the numbers confuse me and he has built a few link set ups.but i learned a lot building this link set up and having him explain in simple terms as we went.i think as long as you stick to the 50% seperation rule at the frame, pinch the lowers at the frame and make them a little longer than the upper, keep every thing as flat as posable and design it so every thing would intersect under the front of the engine and add a little ajustableity you could build a good working link set up with out crunching numbers.i think the numbers are important in racing and street set ups not so much in rock crawling !!

Casey at WMS said when we 4 linked Jody's K5, the uppers need to be 70% of the lowers. try to keep 40+ degrees between the traingulated uppers. and 5 to 8 inches between where the links hit the frame and at the axle it's a % of your tire size. it seems to work without a bunch of pinion roll and axle walk.

in that pic it looks like the upper and lower links go to the frame ?? if so that will make the side that droops want to walk under the truck.if you build a cross member near the T-case and pinch the lowers in it will cure that.this is one reason i'm a 3 link fan i also think(under power) a 4 link binds because the axle wants to rotate forward thus putting presure on all the links and with a 3 link most of the presure is in one place(the upper link) down side of the 3 link if you break something your stuck!! and working with rockwells is a challenge,i have 14"s between the upper and lowers at the axle and 7"s at the frame but the lowers are 11"s longer and all the links are almost flat !! BTW nice rig !!

well picture it now with no roof or anything, and i mean nothing behind the front seats. looks kinda sad. we're basically gonna start from scratch and copy your build. i'll tell him about pinching the lowers in but i know he's lurking in this thread as i type. hey Jody!

are you going to seal up the back of the cab where the cage goes through or leave em open ?
just leave them open, the cab is pretty hammered and the first time it go'es on its lid i will most likely cut the rest off and and tube it out!!

Very cool, making some serious progress. Are you putting the front fenders back on? if so are you going to bend then so they follow the same angle as the boat sides?

i'm going to tube the front out and put the fenders and hood back on there wont be alot left of the fenders as i'm going to open them up monster truck style.i'm also going to try and hang some bed sides back on if they dont look funny after i cut them to fit !!
