my buddy just picked up a "demo car" and it has a 440 in it, im beggin him to trade me for my 360 and id even do the engine swap for him.. but he dont want to mess with it.
Whats a good 440 go for? its nothing specail.. just in a 70's chrysler land-yaht.
well he paid 400 for the car.. i was thinkin my 360 and 50 bux... but he wont budge.. seems set on taking a 440 out of the world in a demo.. toldem thats what 302's are for... lol
I'll have to look into what tranny goes behind them, didnt think about that, all i have right now is a 727.
I thought the same thing on the tranny. He is a idiot, sorry if he wants to lug that hunk of metal and beat it up for a demo car. I assume there way heaver then a 302.
Personally, take whatever you have and rebuild it. Seriously, I was in your shoes like 3 years ago. I thought about a crate, a 440, 383 and rebuilding my 360. Guess which was the easiest and most cost effective lol..something I already had and hooked up.
The big block and small block bellhousing bolt patterns are different.
