   My  WK 5.7 fixed hemi,   fully loaded not missing 1 option,  stock as of now undecided as of now to keeping it or going to the SRT,   so if it stays it'll get modified...
   So far the only real advantage to the srt is the 6.1, other then that and tires and bars the drivetrain in the srt's have no e-lockers nor the same t-case, and there cheaper....

         Thanks pp,  as hard as i am on my vehicles i do keep on top of them.   

     I recently had the WK off-road for the 1st time and she was damn good,  mud was really amazing,  and other than the bad shock design the wk has in the rear she is pretty good on the faster washboard stuff

     A few more.

    The 1st 1 id the all time winningest driver....but that is changing next time,  during these runs i lost something in the charging system about an hour earlier,  so ign and f.i. wasn't running right as can be witnessed by the exhaust showing it running real rich..

i just seen this now i cant believe someone else out there is oval racing a jeep grand cherokee!!! i went to the local oval track where they let people race their cars they drove there, and i thought it would be fun so i broke out the jeep (almost exactly the same as yours) i was able to beat most of them but the thunderbird turbo coupe got me by about a length. one of the best times i've ever had. the second best part was watching a solstice hit the wall. keep it up, i know i will

     Oh Yeah it's great taking a jeep and spanking cars.... Hopefully i'll get out there again this year,  i gotta get a road course and drag video done...i gotta get a victim though for those...

   Now i tossed a 60 in it over the last couple of months, but i had to take it out she was making a noise and turned out she had a cracked crank.....atleast i caught it before she grenaded....
    Im waiting for a company to finish a new hood for the ZJ,  and then i can lose the f.i. anmd comp bs and go to a carb...lots of hp lost thru these comp in mopars...lots....

  The MP comp is holding the motor back....it takes 20' before it see's potential...never had a carbed motor do anything like that,  it's like a switch is flipped..20' and bang another 70hp kicks in...

This mustang is running a little modified and.... at all 4 corners this little barnstormer is running race tires......
Did the "Tires" help against a heavy, wobbly unstable Jeep on "street" tires, the same eagle gt's you can buy at any goodyear shop...

Seems everyone musta been behind that truck carrying race tires....even this trans am has them... I feel left out now...

Sticky sneakers are a good thing, everyone will agree, but set up is everything...band aids are helpful though...

This race is run backwards for 2 laps so if someone is building a left turn ringer it takes the upper hand away....

    I usually go out there on a call out,  i really go to beat that trash am only because he is the track champion of the SD class every year,  if there are 15 races he'll usually win all 15...

   I definately see the comedy in it though kinda why we go out there,  though we find every race  comical when you think about it like we do... soccer mom suv spanking cars with race tires on them...

just plain awesome stuff. first time i have seen most of those videos. i swamped my jeep and hydrolocked it. a magnum 318 is pretty damn strong, it stopped from water in the cylinders twice before it finally bent something the 3rd time. i pulled the plugs a bunch of times to blow water out but the last time it got running up to 1500 and must have found some more water in the intake and then stopped dead and that bent a connecting rod just enough that it ticked and i knew it wasnt going to last forever after that so the jeep went bye bye. now im looking into getting a 98ish zj with a 5.9 and then try that out at the track. probably not as quick as your hemi jeep but not too far off i hope. keep up the jeep domination

Just stumbled on this and have to say it is awesome. I wish they had something like that around here. Only thing we have is open nights at the drag strip and hour away but that is fun. Have you had the jeep down the quarter mile? If so what kind of times does it put down?

Wow, forum mining gold! 

I'm guessing that ZJ is a 318 or 360 with quadra-trac.  (all wheel drive) 
Had a '95 ZJ with that system.  It would really move out of the hole because there was no wheel spin. 
Once a old woman decided to do a U-turn and cut right in front of me.  I thought I was wrecked but the ZJ kept it grip with aggressive maneuvers. 
Loved that Jeep.  Hated to see it go.  Sad

dhokey17   i haven't been to the DS yet,  hoping to hold the new record for fastest ZJ...the record now is 10.80 something for a zj, now that is a modified pass, no interior, slicks all around....

  I intend to better that with the same tires on it now, fully operational interior and all creature comforts...

   Had i not built a pos mag motor,  i would have no doubts... mags suck for making real power.
   Now with the change of the emissions laws here, i may remove the LA 418 from the CC and put this motor in the CC...
