Body is the same color as the engine.  It is a blue metalic found on the Chrysler Crossfire.

    Lefty,
I get thru Fort Fun all the time.  Sandbagged the three rivers back in 82 - got out of class for doing so.  Mayor Wynn Moses sent free John Cougar tickets to the sandbaggers who signed liability release waivers at the dikes.  Met some really cool people sandbagging.
Anyway, what's your 4wd parts/accessory store of choice up there?

My auto parts of choice up here is the Zone and of course Economy Auto Parts i.e. junk yard.

Yea that's 2 1/2" exhaust.  I got it done in Decatour.  I'm pretty happy with the job.  It still needs the back finished up but he wanted the body on it first.  I am thinking about those pipes that come out the side of the body from Stylin Concepts.  Don't know it I want to spring for the bucks though.

Spare no expense Lefty! (Easy for me to say I know)  ::)
IMHO, I would not go for the exhaust out of the body though. Even if the engine is running it's best, it may not put black carbon out but it will still put out water that will get blown out all over the body.

The exhaust out the body will be unique it will be kind of a retro yet modern look. As far as the carbon or water from the exhaust the manufacturer might have installation tips to avoid such problems. I like the color should definitely turn heads when you are finished.

I believe these tips have a stainless oval housing that has the two pipes coming out.  It looks pretty cool.  I think it is like a sleeve through the body.  I would question though having black on the side of the truck.  That wouldn't be pretty.

I agree not to mention the aggravation of knowing that it was your own idea that caused the problem.

I plan on taking Bobby Lee to the truck rally if anyone is interested.  It will be seperated from the body but it will be easier to see that way anyway.  That is the story I am sticking with.
It has the MFI Magnum engine in it and will actually start up.  It also has the disk brakes in the back and dual exhaust if anyone wants to see how they look and hook up it would be a good way to see it without crawling on your back.
Townwagon has done a lot of body work on it and looks pretty good.  Even has the cute little round gas cover. Just need to add the power sun roof and make it pretty for paint.
I might have the nurf bars on by then but I am not getting my hopes up.

Townwagon - do you still want to pick it up or would you like me to get a trailer.... or two.

Attention all faithful Bobby Lee followers...... we have progress!
We mounted the LHS leather six way power seats.  Man, now I am good for another couple of years.
I told my little lady to get in and see if it was mounted in a comfortable position.  She just ignored me when I told her to move it around with the buttons.  I tell you the truth faithful followers, that baby had the power hooked up to it and it moved!
    Man, what progress.

Finally back..... my 8 year old grandson asked me "grandpa, why do you have so many projects.  Shouldn't you finish one before you start the next?"  wow
The truck is all painted now and I am trying to put it back together.  I found a 5.9 fuel injected engine for it and it runs fine.  Question now is if I can find a wire harness for it or do I have to make it.

Does anyone know where I can get an engine wire harness from a 1993 Ramcharger with a 360?  That is the only year that they had a fuel injected engine to my knowledge.

If not, does anyone know where to get the wire terminal tips that plug into the computer so I can alter my own wires and plug them in.  I don't need the whole connector, just the metal that tips the end of the wires.

    thanks

Out of the mouths of children! I'd say maybe expand your search to trucks too. The idea of building my own harness for that sounds daunting.
Glad to see you are back at it!

Back in the game again.  I found a wire harness, front fenders are back on as well as the grill.

Putting the engine compartment together and also got a new wire harness for the other things that had so many frayed wires.

Been cold and work is slow so I got a few good days in the game.  Was looking back at posts, only been 11 years.

It happens. The power wagon I picked up the long bed step side for has been sitting idle for... 7-8 years. It's easy to see from here where the ads saying "ran when parked" come from when dealing with vehicles sank to their axles.

Take note.  Do not take apart 2 trucks, spread them all over the place, and then add another engine and expect to remember where everything goes 11 years later.  :o

You might be old 11 years later.

Sure feels good to see more tables than parts though.  I will post pics eventually.

The way I see it, you find a part you remember, put it on, and in time you run out of parts.  That is a good day.

Ahahaha. I probably do an engine swap a year and even though I take videos and separate things via bags and bins I always wind up with a few extra bits and pieces. Like you say, once you have parts donors and then back ups for the parts donors it can get sketchy.

Glad to see you are back at it! it's hard to believe that much time has past. I remember being up there helping you work on it. I don't think Kurt was with me because he was too small to help. He is 18 now lol.

you were alone when you were up here.  Remember welding my doors???  thanks

Going through the wires now.  I have so many harnesses strung up all over I don't know where to begin.  I had the engine running but then had to take the wires off to get the body on.  When I say wires, I mean wires, not harnesses.  Lots of those little buggers.

Trying to figure out what has to go to the computer and what does not.  '83 truck, '93 engine.

    happy trails
