I just picked up a seal kit for the CTD for $13.08 at a bosch dealer. That's cheap enough. I'll be meeting with my friend next week to do the rebuild. I'm hoping this will bring the fuel mileage back up to 18 at least.

From what I have seen it is, it leaves a puddle of diesel anytime he parks.

Yes that is the plane BUT the vids you posted are pretty much what we'll be doing. is your pump leaking that bad?
From what I have seen it is, it leaves a puddle of diesel anytime he parks.
If I let it idle for 60 secs there will be an 18" puddle of fuel under the IP pump. When I park it after driving it leaves several puddles around 6" round.

LOL............ I think you need to get one so you can ditch that electric IP you have....... VE (with overdrive) definitely has more wires than I do. Wires to shut down, wires to advance. All kinds of stuff. You keep thinking things got suddenly tougher in '94. Actually, they deleted 1 less wire. Look electronic to you? I didn't think so

I have an arm on mine for that too I just figure I don't need it........ OK till the EMP goes off....... My VE41 doesn't even have a Shutdown Lever Just a Single-Wire Fuel Shut Off. I imagine the provisions are there somewhere for it, since the 41 is almost identical to the 44. (except the 41 has a Fast Idle Lever and a Tachometer Pickup threaded in the side of the IP)

Well it seems as though my buddy like to work alone. I missed the rebuild. I called him yesterday to find out if he got the details on things and he's done. He needed the dial gauge #'s yet to set the pump and it goes on. I missed everything he did after the distribution plate was taken off on Mon. He said it will be done today after he's done working. So I guess we'll see how she runs after that......... Sorry Joe no writeup. I will be getting another cummins for the crew cab sometime down the road and will be doing al this stuff before it goes in so...........
