Murphy's Homemade Apple Butter

Makes 1 quart.

5lbs apples, peeled, cored and sliced.
1 cup brown sugar. Add/subtract sugar to suit your taste.
2 cinnamon sticks

Finely chop apples in food processor, put in crock pot. Add brown sugar and stir. Drop in cinnamon stick and cook on high for four hours, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching. Remove and discard cinnamon stick, run mixture through food processor again to desired consistency. Place mixture back in crock pot, add fresh cinnamon stick and cook another four hours, stirring occasionally.

Place in mason jar while hot and seal, or grab some buttered biscuits and enjoy. Tammy and I made some yesterday, pretty bueno.
Please don't tell my Mother I work in the oilpatch. She thinks I'm a piano player in a whorehouse.
