Area Chapter Leaders are the organizers of their area. I will list some of their responsibilities, and more will be added to this list as they come up.
Letting members in their area know that we indeed have chapters
Getting contact information (phone, address, emails) of members of their chapter
Organizing Events, Get Togethers, and Fund Raisers in their area
Recruiting new members in their area
Maintaining a list of Active Members in their area
Maintaining their Chapter Board
Keeping in touch with the Admins (Jay and me and GP) about everything, progress, ideas, etc
Everything that the leaders do (activities and whatnot) must be approved by the Admins
This list will grow as the Chapter Leaders responsibilities grow. We need more than just one or two leaders for most chapters. Almost all of our chapter leaders are either Moderators or Site Contributors. This was done because we know those people only have the best intentions for the site, since they helped build it.
Sam, once we get the list of our members compiled, do you want it in a certain format for your and Jay's records? Or, do you just want us to maintain it and have it available if you should need it?

Forgive me for being slow tonight - it's been a long day...
I've asked for the same information in the Arizona Chapter. So, do you want me to create a list in a thread on my board, or send you the info so you can post it?

LOL, what would be ideal is if each Chapter Leader would keep a list of all active members in their area. If we all follow the same format, it would be easier for exhanging info, if say 2 or 3 chapters get together for an event. Also, I would like a copy of everyones database of members. Actually, nix that idea, since this list would be full of ongoing changes. But following the same format, if I ever did need anyone's info, it would make things easier.
Okay, I've started the Arizona Chapter Contact List. I've made it a "Locked Sticky" on the board so it's available for members to see at all times, but it cannot be altered.
Sam and Jay, some members have expressed they do not wish to have all of their personal information posted, but they have given me the info privately. I can pass this info on to you for your records, but please don't make it public.
GP and I have also talked about creating some "Charter Rules" that members will need to agree to adhere to while out on the trails...nothing harsh, just some common courtesy and safety issues. I would like to have these rules posted on our board, as well, but will run them by Sam and Jay for approval before doing so.
That is a great idea yet again Jalene. I am all for that.
I don't want to list contact info publically, since this is an open board. Pat has come up with a database setup for excel. I haven't been able to check it out yet, but I will once I get to work.
O.K. Sam ive been off the board for a couple of days and i think i missed alot (had family in town)I have kinda figured out whats happenin but it could take awhile to sort through all the posts can you e-mail or I.M. me this info please so i can get caught up on whats expected here and what i need to get from the members in this area ? thanx Jason
Hey SaM, I didn't see a quick way back to the regular board if you are in the area chapters board. And there is a spelling error in the query results when you search by state....might want to fix it fore we start thinking you are one of them there savant type people....ya know...good at only one thing ( like puters---but cain't spell....)
hmm, I guess I need to check my spelling. If you click on Forum in the gray list of links at the top (main link to the forum from within the site) you will get back safely.
Thats what I did...sorry about the spelling error check...I just have a pet peeve about incorrectly spelled words. I sometimes modify my posts 3 or 4 times cuz of them (that don't count the intentional ones...like cuz, and yer, and cain't....).
I just didn't know if you had thought about putting a button for going back ...seem to have one everywhere else
If no one else is interested in leading one I could try and start a east TN/TN/whatever my area would be in RCC chapter and try to orgasnize events, recruit new people, and such, but I am very busy and have little time for it, so if anyone else is interested I'll gladly let them have it, but I am interested, and if noone else is interested I'll volunteer.

Hello Sam,
I'm from Nova Scotia(east coast of Canada), I would be interested in becoming an area chapter leader, (just need a few months to get organized, hoping by December too be settled ), we're in the middle of moving our business and home to a new location. I know that here are alot of maritime mopar lovers out there!
Regards,
Christine
Sam,
Rxt and I have been Doing our part to get people active in the Florida Chapter. Between him and I we have wrangled t24 members. Tomorrow is our firast Chapter meeting it's small only five or six members but it's a start. I am getting the list of member's together and posting their info on our Chapter's page. Jamm and Orangecrush the Original leader's have not been seen for a while So Rxt ( Ed Rosales) Volunteered to be the leader and later Evildriver asked me to take up a leadership role and I accepted. If you need anything from the Florida Chapter please im or email me: mid_evil_thymz@yahoo.com
Thanks for the opprotunity to serve the club

howdy all have not looked into these posts before . it seems as though the ok bb is running fairly close to what u have listed sam .. only thing is u might not know what we are doing all the time . we police our bds. to try and keep everything on a level keel ,so no one trys to be the ultimate dictater. as i have noticed on some boards. at times i will e someone to see if it is ok to remove a post
the posts are kept current .if no interest it is removed and the ones that need a little more time are left for about 30 days. we all are as the tx bd. the leaders. if an arguement starts it is left until it gets out of hand or if someone complains ./ it removed..
if we have a member that has has a problem we will try to resolve it or be of help. we do not tell the people to solve it by them selves as it is a personal problem.. it affects the entire bd. integrity as well as yours. you know this has happned and you helped and i thank you for it., even tho it has never been resolved.
i sent u 3 im re the ok. logo and sent u one hope it is ok we have them on the veh. now.. OK... as u didnt respond i took it it was ok .//
and if my sp, isnt corek tough.. it has been 50 some yrs or so and im not going back for english spellin or typin. got it?? quinn the eskimo
Sam, is is possible with the new board format, to have chapter moderator post for each chapter that only the mods for that chaopter, or other chapters can see ?? it might make it easier to coordinate & resolve issues for the chapters for things that the whole chapter does not need to see.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
