pretty damn sweet, much like a field sprayer ive seen
But that would require an analysis of this story that involves some nuance, extra reading, and empathy. Better to just make Ayn Rand jokes and mock the dumb, low-income bumpkins for mistrusting the government.

This truck has been around the internet about 10 times already.  It's a freak engineering feat that will be a one of a kind, forever.  There is no technical flex to it, it's operating well within it's design parameters.  Comparing our trucks to that "vehicle" is like putting a Boeing 737 up against a F16.  Sure they're both planes, but they both are completely different designs.

Boeing 737 and f16 are both jets... yeah this rig has been around a while... my question to the engineer would be about yaw and g sensors whether the rig has em or has been considered... why isn't the military using this and how come I don't have one

automatic leveling systems like that have been on construction equipment for many years . some rough terrain  high lift fork lifts , for example , use a system similar to that .

Same reason that off road construction equipment is generally trucked to the construction site, and not driven. Inefficient drive system, low top speed, easy roll over, high maintenance, ect.

Extreme is the word for it.

If I were doing it, why not steal the leveling brains out of a Segway, and use hydrostatic drive?

Still needs to be trailered to the trail. There's great satisfaction in one vehicle hauling itself 100 miles (or more) to the trailhead, crawling all weekend, then zipping back home on the InterBore for work on Monday.
